RESTORATIVE YOGA FOR RECOVERY

Monday 10 am

Restorative yoga enables deep relaxation as you holding poses for longer periods of time with the help of props to completely support you. Originally it was developed by B.K.S. Iyengar in India to allow those ill or injured to engage in a yoga practice without any stress or strain. So very much recommended when dealing with a chronic health condition,  or nurturing an injury, or affected by cancer or experiencing burn-out. Restorative yoga is a calming hug for the overstimulated body and mind, creating peace and serenity within. (CatMartin)

Yoga can enhance your child's strength, coordination and flexibility, while encouraging body awareness and self-esteem. It can reduce your child's anxiety and stress and promote a sense of calmness. Our young generation feels relaxed and less distracted by their fleeting thoughts, demonstrating an enhanced ability to stay focused and recall information better. On top of all those lovely benefits which light up parents eyes it is a fun filled session and some quality time with your kids.

YIN YOGA

Sundays 8 pm (online)

Yin Yoga, as a practice for deep inner peace and relaxation invites us to reconnect in a gentle and compassionate way with our body, mind and soul. By holding poses for a longer period it increases our ability to be in the present moment and slowly brings us closer to our authentic self.
Yin Yoga invites us to meet our inner resistance and shows us how to find a place of comfort in a not-so-comfortable place as well as noticing our thoughts and reactions from a perspective of calmness. Yin Yoga stretches and targets both the deep connective tissues between the muscles, and the fascia throughout the body with the aim to restore a healthy range of motion, to unblock the flow of nutrients and energy through the body, and to draw you deeper and deeper into the parasympathetic, or relaxation, mode.

A wonderful practice to recharge and give back to your body, mind, and spirit when life gets busy, demanding or overwhelming.

Mediation is a practice to enhance your abilities to be more centered, aware, balanced and connected — to oneself and to others.  When practice in a space of understanding and compassion it can become a wonderful adventure discovering your resilience. Meditation is a great balance to any stresses we are experiencing.  In this weekly session you explore different mediation practices to grow in confidence and clarity so you can use them whenever needed and tap into your own vast human potential for happiness.
